End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Governor Steve Bullock on winning the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Montana:
“Congratulations to Governor Steve Bullock. Throughout his career, Steve has embodied Montanans’ proud tradition of making government work for people instead of corporate special interests and has continued that fight in his Senate campaign by rejecting corporate PAC money. Meanwhile, Steve Daines has worked to prop up the rigged system in Washington as Mitch McConnell’s Montana lackey. We’re proud to stand with Steve Bullock heading into November.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Steve Bullock in March 2020 because of his strong record of rooting out the corrosive influence of unlimited and undisclosed money in politics. Bullock is running against Senator Steve Daines, who has taken over $2.6 million from corporate PACs over the course of his career. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 14,000 in Montana, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
