End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) endorsed Joyce Beatty in February 2020 because of her commitment to ending the corrupting influence of money in politics. Beatty voted to pass anti-corruption legislation including the For the People Act (H.R. 1), the most sweeping government ethics bill since Watergate. She also received an “A” rating on End Citizens United Action Fund’s 2019 Legislative Scorecard for supporting common sense legislation that roots out corruption, increases transparency, and strengthens ethics in government. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 7,200 in OH-03, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
