End Citizens United and Let America Vote Stand with Rep. Kendra Horn Heading into the General Election

Jul 01, 2020

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on news that Representative Kendra Horn (OK-05) is advancing to the general election:

“Rep. Kendra Horn is already challenging the status quo in Washington and fighting to root out corruption. Kendra won this competitive district in 2018 by building a grassroots-powered campaign of small donors, not corporate special interests. In Congress, Kendra has followed through on her word, fighting every day for Oklahomans by reducing the costs of prescription drugs and helping pass the For the People Act, the most sweeping anti-corruption, voting rights, and ethics bill since Watergate. We look forward to re-electing Congresswoman Horn so she can continue the incredible work she’s started.”

ECU endorsed Horn’s re-election campaign in March 2019 as part of the group’s first round of House incumbent endorsements. Horn, who ran on a platform of reform in 2018, rejects corporate PAC money and showed leadership in the passage of the For the People Act (H.R.1). The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 5,800 in OK-05, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
