Ossoff rejects donations from corporate PACs and federal lobbyists
End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Jon Ossoff on his expected advancement to the runoff in Georgia’s Senate race:
“Congratulations to Jon Ossoff on his expected advancement to the runoff in Georgia. He’s running a campaign focused on fighting corruption and giving a voice to every Georgian who has felt left out or let down by Washington corruption. Jon will continue his fight against corruption and we’ll be with him every step of the way. Big Money and corporate special interests should not control our government and Jon will fight to make sure the government works for regular people.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Jon Ossoff in March 2020 because of his commitment to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington so the government works for all Americans. ECU raised and donated over $68,400 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Ossoff’s campaign, and ECU hosted two virtual campaign events discussing his commitment to taking on the corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including over 75,000 in Georgia, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
