End Citizens United and Let America Vote Statement on Stephanie Schriock’s Departure from EMILY’s List

Dec 10, 2020

End Citizens United and Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on the announcement that EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock, who serves on Let America Vote’s Advisory Board, is departing the organization:

“Over the last eleven years, Stephanie Schriock’s bold leadership and vision for EMILY’s List truly changed our country by electing a record number of women to all levels of government across the country. Stephanie’s savviness, strength and accessibility as a leader has helped foster an entire generation of women to break barriers in elected office and beyond. Little girls have more role models than ever and can see themselves in their City Council Member, Senator and Vice President of the United States thanks to Stephanie and EMILY’s List’s indispensable work. We are all grateful for Stephanie’s leadership, friendship and sacrifice and are incredibly excited for her next chapter that will surely continue to make our country better for all.

“We also thank EMILY’s List Founder and Chair of the Board, Ellen Malcolm for her tireless work in support of gender equity and electing Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot. Her vision 35 years ago of what was possible for women candidates totally re-shaped American politics. We congratulate Ellen on her new role as Chair Emerita of the EMILY’s List Board and welcome Rebecca Haile as the new Chair of the Board.”
