End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating Congresswoman Kim Schrier on being reelected to Washington’s 8th Congressional District:
“Congratulations to Congresswoman Kim Schrier on her well-deserved reelection. She’s shown that standing up to special interests and rejecting corporate PAC money is a winning strategy both at the ballot box and in delivering results for constituents. We look forward to continuing to work with Congresswoman Schrier to root out corruption and protect our democracy.”
ECU has been a longtime supporter of Congresswoman Schrier, dating back to her very first run for Congress. Congresswoman Schrier, who received an “A” on ECU’s anti-corruption and voting rights legislative scorecard earlier this year, has been one of the leading voices in Congress for passing meaningful reforms to get Big Money out of politics and making government more accountable to working families.
ECU is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
