End Citizens United Congratulates Senator-Elect Elissa Slotkin on Election Victory

Nov 07, 2024

End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating Senator-elect Elissa Slotkin on being elected to the United States Senate in Michigan:

“Congratulations to Senator-elect Slotkin on her impressive win. Her commitment to working families and democracy, combined with her refusal to take corporate PAC money, served as a powerful message to voters who are tired of special interests controlling Washington. Senator-elect Slotkin has been one of the biggest democracy reform champions in the House, and we look forward to her continuing that fight in the Senate.”

ECU has been a longtime supporter of Senator-elect Slotkin, dating back to her very first run for Congress. Senator-elect Slotkin, who received an “A” on ECU’s anti-corruption and voting rights legislative scorecard earlier this year, has been one of the leading voices in Congress for passing meaningful reforms to get Big Money out of politics and making government more accountable to working families.

ECU is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
