End Citizens United Endorses Four Reform Candidates for Congress

Sep 26, 2018

End Citizens United (ECU) today endorsed four reformers for Congress, all of whom are committed to reforming the broken campaign finance system.

“These candidates are dedicated to stemming the flow of special interest money into elections that’s undermining our democracy,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “They believe that government must work for real people first and foremost, not mega donors and special interests, and that it should never have a price tag. We’re proud to endorse these reformers and look forward to their victories in November.”

The endorsed candidates are:

Anita Malik (AZ-06)

Jesse Colvin (MD-01)

Phil Bredesen (TN-SEN)

Joseph Kopser (TX-21)

Americans’ concerns about money in politics is fueling a wave of candidates in this election who are making reform a central issue in their campaigns, with more than 200 outright rejecting corporate PAC money, including Anita Malik and Jesse Colvin. To date, 127 candidates rejecting corporate PAC money have already advanced to the general election. Click here to see how candidates are incorporating reform messaging in their ads and on the stump.
