Gordon is rejecting corporate PAC money
Republican incumbent Rep. Peter King has taken over $2.4 million from corporate PACs over the course of his political career
End Citizens United (ECU) today endorsed Jackie Gordon for Congress in New York’s Second Congressional District. A combat veteran, an educator, and a community leader, Gordon is a committed public servant who is building a grassroots-powered campaign by rejecting corporate PAC money.

“I’m running for Congress to make sure our government truly works for the people, not the megadonors who dictate how politicians vote,” said Jackie Gordon. “My opponent, Rep. Peter King, has been in Washington for almost 30 years. In these decades, King has become beholden to his corporate special interest donors. I’m not taking a dime of corporate PAC money, and I never will. Long Island families deserve a representative who will fight for them, and that’s what I’ll do both in my campaign and once elected.”
During the 2018 election cycle, ECU spearheaded the movement among candidates to forgo corporate PAC money in their campaigns. In the 116th Congress, nearly 60 members are refusing to take corporate PAC money, which includes Representative Max Rose (NY-11) and 26 other members of the House freshman class who flipped their district.
ECU is dedicated to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington so government works for all Americans. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 5,700 in New York’s Second Congressional District, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
