End Citizens United Launches Digital Ad Campaign in New Jersey Senate

Apr 30, 2024

New ad sets the stage for the general election with a pro-democracy, anti-corruption message

End Citizens United (ECU) today launched a five-figure digital ad campaign in the New Jersey Senate race. The ad, titled “Clean Up,” highlights Congressman Kim’s commitment to strengthening campaign finance laws, protecting voting rights, and stopping members of Congress from trading stocks.

“Congressman Kim is changing the culture of corruption in New Jersey and Washington, proving that public service can be carried out with honor and integrity,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “His commitment to safeguarding our democracy by fighting to get big money out of politics, strengthening ethics rules, and ensuring accountability is a potent message at a time when voters are concerned about the future of our democracy. We’re excited to continue our efforts in reaching out to critical voters to uplift his record and accomplishments.”

The ad, which targets Democratic-leaning independents, will run from April 30 through May 7. Click here to read coverage of the ad campaign in the New Jersey Globe.

Ad Script:

  • It’s time to clean up Washington.

  • There’s no one better for the job than Andy Kim.

  • He did it after January Sixth.

  • And in Congress, Kim fights to strengthen campaign finance laws, protect voting rights, and stop members of Congress from trading stocks.

  • Andy Kim’s campaign takes no corporate PAC money—he won’t take gold bars, either.

  • Insiders and billionaires may not like it, but Andy Kim’s going to the Senate with vision and integrity. And he’s bringing a broom.

ECU, which was the first national group to endorse Congressman Kim’s Senate campaign, is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
