End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund launched $1.2 million in additional ads urging Arizonans to join Senator Mark Kelly in supporting the newly introduced Freedom to Vote Act (S.2747), a critical voting rights and anti-corruption bill that would protect access to the ballot box, stop partisan gerrymandering, and end dark money so that billionaires can’t buy elections. The bill also protects against efforts to sabotage our elections, including protecting election officials from harassment and preventing voter intimidation. The Freedom to Vote Act is a compromise bill introduced and drafted by Senator Manchin and other senators after the For the People Act was not advanced.
The $1.2 million in Arizona ads are part of a $5.8 million campaign alongside ads in Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and nationally that will air on local broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The ad campaign in Arizona also includes digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google, as well as direct mail. The ads are part of ECU // LAV’s joint $30 million campaign with the National Democratic Redistricting Committee to pass a federal voting rights and anti-corruption bill.
