End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund Launch Ad Campaign Thanking Reps. Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski and Mikie Sherrill for Supporting H.R. 1

Feb 04, 2021

End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund is leading a coalition of groups including, Communications Workers of America, Brady PAC, Common Cause, and Public Citizen, in launching part of a $1.3 million TV and digital ad campaign thanking Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03), Congressman Tom Malinowski (NJ-07) and Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) for supporting the For the People Act (H.R. 1).

In the 116th Congress, Kim, Malinowski and Sherrill and House Democrats made passing the For the People Act their first legislative priority of the session. The bill protects the foundational principles of our democracy and is the most comprehensive anti-corruption and democracy reform legislation in decades. It brings dark money into the light, strengthens ethics law, and protects the right to vote for everyone.

“In the 116th Congress, we were grateful that Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski and Mikie Sherrill’s leadership made passing the For the People Act the first bill of that session. Now, following an attack on our democracy––including an insurrection at the Capitol––it’s time to finish the job and pass this into law,” said ECU and LAV Action Fund President Tiffany Muller. “ECU and LAV thank Representatives Kim, Malinowski and Sherrill for supporting H.R. 1 and for continuing to fight to repair and protect our democracy and take on the corruption that is holding the country back.”

The ad campaign will air in Representatives Kim, Malinowski and Sherrill’s districts and Washington D.C. with television and digital ads starting February 3rd.

People know Washington isn’t working for them, but Andy Kim is changing that.

He supported the largest anti-corruption bill in history, and now’s his chance to make it law.

Thank Rep. Kim for supporting the For the People Act.
