“Over the past several years, Nevada Democrats passed reforms to make it easier for voters to access the ballot box. In a blatant move to protest the pro-democracy changes, Donald Trump commanded Nevada Republicans to set up their own presidential caucus, which favors Trump but is more restrictive for voters.
“The entire process has only proved what we already know—Republicans are working overtime to roll back Democrats’ pro-voter policies and they won’t stop at anything to appease Donald Trump. Last night’s caucus is just a snapshot of the importance of the upcoming election. If Trump is elected back into office, he will continue to undermine democracy at every turn and strip away the progress Democrats have made in protecting our freedom to vote.”
