ECU // LAV President Tiffany Muller issued the below statement congratulating the new DCCC Chair Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney:
“Congratulations to Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney on his new role as Chair of the DCCC. Rep. Maloney is a longtime champion of anti-corruption and democracy reforms which has earned him an ‘A’ rating on End Citizens United and Let America Vote’s congressional scorecard. He’s a strong supporter of bold and sweeping reforms like the For the People Act (H.R. 1) and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (H.R. 4), as well as efforts to reverse the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision.
“Rep. Maloney, who is now the highest ranking LGBT person in the history of the U.S. House, is an excellent choice to lead the DCCC to help elect reformers and expand the House Majority. We look forward to working with him in the fight to repair our democracy and make government work for everyone.”
