End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon on winning the Democratic primary in PA-05:
“Congratulations to Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon on her victory tonight.
“Congresswoman Scanlon has been a champion in the fight to protect the freedom to vote. She introduced the Disability Voting Rights Act, which would ensure that states make polling locations and voter registration materials accessible for Americans with disabilities so that everyone can safely and accessibly cast their ballot and make their voice heard on the issues that matter most. Scanlon also helped lead the charge to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, one of the most significant anti-corruption and voting rights legislation in generations, that would protect the freedom to vote, stop partisan gerrymandering, end dark money by making all political donations public, and limit the power of Washington lobbyists by providing more transparency into lobbyist fundraising.
“We are excited about her victory tonight and look forward to re-electing her this November.”
