“This election was a major victory for democracy and a stunning defeat for special interest darling Governor Glenn Youngkin. We’re proud to support these 12 pro-democracy champions and congratulate them on their well-deserved victories. This group of committed anti-corruption and voting rights advocates proved that voters stand in strong support of those who prioritize fighting for our democracy. With these champions of democracy in office, Virginians will be protected from the extreme Youngkin agenda. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with these legislators to further enhance the lives of hard-working families across Virginia.”

ECU // LAV proudly endorsed a dynamic dozen Virginia legislative candidates due to their unwavering dedication to rectifying the flaws in Virginia’s campaign finance system and their staunch defense of the freedom to vote. These leaders have already proven themselves to be accountable only to their constituents by refusing contributions from Dominion Energy.

ECU // LAV is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
