End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement urging the Senate Judiciary Committee to vote in favor of issuing subpoenas for Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo as part of its ongoing investigation into the corruption of sitting Supreme Court justices:
“In the face of incessant corruption, the Senate Judiciary Committee must approve subpoenas for Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo and reject the bad faith, retaliatory Republican amendments orchestrated by Leo himself. The Supreme Court’s new inadequate and unenforceable code of conduct cannot be used as an excuse not to investigate their corruption. It’s clear the only way to fully hold our justices accountable for taking away Americans’ rights in order to pad their own pockets is for Congress to act.”
