End Citizens United (ECU) // Let America Votes (LAV) endorses Angela Alsobrooks for U.S. Senate in Maryland.

“Angela Alsobrooks is dedicated to protecting the freedom to vote and fighting for democracy reform to ensure our government works for the people—not just the wealthy elite,” said Tiffany Muller, President of End Citizens United // Let America Vote. “She is committed to combating the extremist attacks on our democracy while prioritizing the needs of Maryland families, like safeguarding reproductive rights and lowering the cost of prescription drugs. We’re proud to endorse Angela and look forward to helping her win.”

“I am so proud to be endorsed by End Citizens United // Let America Vote. I am committed to ensuring America is as good as its promise, and that each of us has access to opportunities and the right to vote,” said Angela Alsobrooks. “Elections are not for sale, and I look forward to working to ensure that our government is truly representative of the American People.”

Angela Alsobrooks’ Senate campaign is historic as she would be the first Black woman elected to Maryland’s Senate. She will fight to pass pro-democracy legislation, like the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and has committed to sponsoring the Freedom to Vote Act—a once-in-a-lifetime voting protection bill. She has a proven track record of standing up for working families and once in office, will continue to fight for the issues that matter most to Marylanders, including affordable health care and protecting our environment.

ECU // LAV is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than 4 million members nationwide.
