End Citizens United // Let America Vote today endorsed Charles Booker for U.S. Senate in Kentucky.

Former state representative Charles Booker has proven that he will put the interests of the people of Kentucky above corporations. Booker is not taking a dime of corporate PAC money and has pledged to reject money from the fossil fuel industry. He has further advocated for overturning the Citizens United decision and abolishing super PACs, both of which are vital to rooting out corruption in Washington. As a state representative, Booker worked to pass legislation to expand access to the ballot box, including bills to expand early voting and urging Congress to make Election Day a national holiday.

“Charles Booker will be the Senator the hardworking people of Kentucky deserve. His refusal to take corporate PAC money or fossil fuel money in his campaign is a testament to his dedication to working for people, not corporate special interests. In the Senate, he’ll fight to make sure that every voice is heard in Washington by working to get big money out of politics and rooting out the corruption that plagues Washington,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “We’re excited to endorse Charles Booker for U.S. Senate in Kentucky and look forward to helping his campaign.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement from End Citizens United // Let America Vote because I am committed to serving the people of Kentucky, not the rich and powerful,” said Charles Booker. “I am refusing to take any corporate PAC money and am dedicated to ending dark money in Washington. As a state representative, I worked hard to make sure we prioritized putting the hard-working families of Kentucky first, not corporations or wealthy donors. The people of Kentucky deserve a senator that works for them, and I cannot wait to continue working with ECU // LAV to make sure the voices of the Kentuckians are heard in the Senate.”

ECU // LAV is a leading anti-corruption and voting rights group. The grassroots-funded political action committee raised and spent $65.5 million in the 2020 election cycle to elect candidates fighting to limit the influence of big money in politics and protect the freedom to vote. ECU // LAV has more than four million members nationwide, including over 29,000 in Kentucky.
