Lee earned an A+ on ECU // LAV’s congressional scorecard on anti-corruption and voting rights
End Citizens United // Let America Vote (ECU // LAV) today endorsed Congresswoman Summer Lee for reelection in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District. Congresswoman Lee refuses to take any money from corporate PACs and has been a leader in the fight to root out corruption in government.
“Congresswoman Summer Lee understands that Washington isn’t working for Pennsylvania families because too many elected officials are beholden to their special interest donors. That’s why she’s spearheading the fight to root out corruption in government and protect our freedom to vote,” said Tiffany Muller, President of ECU // LAV. “Her constituents never have to guess whose side she’s on because she refuses to take a dime from corporate PACs. We’re proud to endorse Congresswoman Lee for reelection and we look forward to helping her win.”
“I’m honored to be endorsed by End Citizens United // Let America Vote, an organization that shares my belief that our government cannot truly work without removing the grip special interests have over Congress,” said Congresswoman Summer Lee. “My commitment has always been—and will always be—to the people; it’s why I refuse any corporate PAC money and it’s why I will always stand up to greedy corporations. I look forward to working alongside End Citizens United // Let America Vote to protect our voters and root out the corruption in Washington.”
Congresswoman Summer Lee has spent her career fighting to better the lives of Pennsylvanians. She has cosponsored a number of good government reforms, including the Bipartisan Ban on Congressional Stock Ownership Act, the Freedom to Vote Act, the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the DISCLOSE Act. Congresswoman Lee earned an A+ in ECU // LAV’s 2024 legislative scorecard.
