End Citizens United // Let America Vote Endorses Eugene DePasquale for Pennsylvania Attorney General

Aug 16, 2024

End Citizens United // Let America Vote today endorsed Eugene DePasquale for Attorney General in Pennsylvania.

“Eugene DePasquale has spent his career fighting to protect Pennsylvanians—for their reproductive freedoms, their access to clean drinking water, and to their access to the ballot box,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “As the threats to our democracy continue to rise exponentially, we need to make sure the freedom to vote is protected and corrupt corporations are held accountable for exploiting our political system. Eugene’s proven record of putting the people first makes him exceptionally qualified to be the next people’s lawyer. We’re proud to endorse Eugene and look forward to helping him win.”

“Our government must always work for the people—not corporate special interests and the wealthy elite—and as Attorney General, I will always protect Pennsylvanians, without exception and without leaving anyone behind,” said Eugene DePasquale. “Pennsylvania was at the forefront of the Big Lie, so it’s more important than ever to make sure we stand up to extremists who are trying to silence voters, while expanding the freedom to vote. I am honored to be endorsed by End Citizens United // Let America Vote and work together to protect our democracy.”

As a former Auditor General of the Keystone State, DePasquale led the effort to expose nearly $2 billion in corruption and wasted tax dollars, led the fight to reduce the backlog of thousands of untested rape kits, and exposed 58,000 unanswered phone calls at the child abuse hotline. He will always fight back against attempts at voter suppression and ensure every Pennsylvanian is able to access the ballot box easily and safely. DePasquale will also stand up to corruption by cracking down on the businesses and greedy CEOs taking advantage of their employees and consumers.
