End Citizens United // Let America Vote today endorsed Rochelle Garza for Texas Attorney General.
“Rochelle Garza is no stranger to fighting for the people of Texas. Her entire career, she’s been committed to restoring power to the people. From protecting voting rights, to holding the rich and powerful accountable, we know that as Attorney General, she will fight for Texas families, not wealthy donors. We look forward to helping her win this November,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller.
“The people of Texas deserve an Attorney General who will get to the bottom of what went wrong with our power grid in last year’s deadly winter storm, not look the other way on behalf of corporate donors, and who will ensure that everyone has the freedom to make their voice heard at the ballot box. I want to be that champion for working Texans, and I am thrilled to have End Citizens United and Let America Vote by my side in this fight,” said Rochelle Garza.
Garza is running for Attorney General to continue fighting for the people of Texas. Working as a civil rights lawyer, she won the Garza vs. Hargan case, which guarantees that teens in immigration custody are given “the Garza notice,” which informs them of their rights to abortion without retaliation and obstruction. She’s taken on special interests, giving a voice to the voiceless in court and fought against corporate-backed dark money special interests when they tried to capture control of the Supreme Court.
ECU // LAV is a leading anti-corruption and voting rights group. The grassroots-funded political action committee raised and spent $65.5 million in the 2020 election cycle to elect candidates fighting to limit the influence of big money in politics and protect the freedom to vote.
