End Citizens United // Let America Vote Endorses Senator Rosen for Reelection

Mar 30, 2023

End Citizens United (ECU) // Let America Vote (LAV) today endorsed Senator Jacky Rosen for the U.S. Senate in Nevada.

“Senator Rosen understands that democracy works best when every voice is heard — not just the wealthiest ones. She’s been an incredible ally in the movement to pass reforms that will get Big Money out of politics and shine a light on the dark money corrupting our government,” said ECU // LAV President Tiffany Muller. “We’re proud to endorse Senator Rosen for reelection in this critical battleground state.”

“The best way to deliver positive change for hardworking Nevadans is ensuring we have a democracy that is healthy, transparent, and strong. The disastrous Citizens United decision has let billionaires and special interests drown out the voices of everyday Nevadans, which is why I’ve been fighting to reform this broken system and restore power back to the voters. It’s an honor to have End Citizens United and Let America Vote’s support as we work to fix our democracy and protect voting rights,” said Rosen.

Throughout her time in office, Rosen has been outspoken about the need to reform the broken campaign finance system and protect voting rights. She has consistently called to overturn Citizens United and implement laws to increase transparency and accountability in government. Rosen introduced and passed the No CORRUPTION Act in the Senate, which would strip taxpayer-funded pensions from former members of Congress who were convicted of felonies in connection to their official duties. She has also supported a number of reform bills, including the Freedom to Vote Act, Democracy for All Amendment, and the DISCLOSE Act. In 2022, Rosen received an “A” on ECU // LAV’s legislative scorecard on anti-corruption and voting rights efforts.

ECU // LAV is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
