End Citizens United // Let America Vote Endorses Tina Kotek for Governor of Oregon

May 12, 2022

End Citizens United // Let America Vote today endorsed Tina Kotek for Governor of Oregon.

“We are thrilled to endorse Tina Kotek, who has walked the walk when it comes to fighting for Oregon families. As Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives, she championed reforms like expanding access to the ballot box by passing a nationally-recognized automatic voter registration law, passing stronger transparency laws so voters know who is funding political ads, and pushing for a comprehensive campaign finance reform package to limit the influence of Big Money, proving that she’s working for the people of Oregon, not the special interests,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “When she’s elected Governor, we know she’ll build off of those efforts to make government work better for hard-working Oregon families and to ensure their voices are heard in Salem.”

“End Citizens United and Let America Vote are on the frontlines of protecting and strengthening our democracy. I am so proud to have their support and to work alongside them to limit the influence of big money in politics and ensure every voice is heard and every vote counts equally,” said Tina Kotek.

During her time as Speaker, Tina stood up for working families, protecting them from corporate greed and exploitation. From raising the minimum wage, to pushing to close the gender pay gap, Tina has consistently stood on the side of Oregon workers. She’s also stood up against Big Pharma, working to increase transparency on prescription drug pricing, so Oregonians have better access to life-saving medication. She’ll continue to push for transparency by stopping Big Money special interests from buying Oregon elections, and will continue to protect and expand the freedom to vote, and ensure everyone can make their voices heard and have their votes counted in our democracy.
