Ads are part of a $30 million effort to pass the bill

End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund launched a new wave of digital ads, including in Nevada, as part of the group’s $30 million campaign with the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) to pass the For the People Act––a critical reform package to get dark money out of politics, stop billionaires from buying elections, crack down on corruption, end partisan gerrymandering, protect the freedom to vote and ensure elections are safe, accurate, and accessible.

The new $1 million digital ad buy will run nationwide and in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire, and West Virginia on Facebook, Instagram, OutBrain, Snapchat, Reddit, YouTube, and Google as well as programmatic video and display. They follow an ongoing $12 million national and in state TV campaign.

“Nevada voters want to crack down on corruption, stop letting billionaires buy our elections, modernize our voting systems, and protect everyone’s freedom to vote,” said ECU // LAV Action Fund President Tiffany Muller. “This bill is overwhelmingly popular with people in every political party across the country, and the Senate needs to pass it now. It’s the only way we will protect our democracy so everyone’s voice is heard for generations to come.”

Earlier this spring, ECU // LAV Action Fund and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee announced a $30 million campaign to pass the For the People Act. The campaign includes television and digital advertising; major grassroots activation, including putting boots on the ground in key states; and grasstops education and outreach. The campaign is funding key national and local allied organizations––from good government and voting rights groups to a wide array of issue advocacy groups. This historic investment is harnessing the grassroots energy for unrigging the system in Washington to make it work for everyone, not just those on top, and will make it clear to the Senate that we must pass this bill.
