New Ads Part of $30 Million Advocacy Campaign

End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund today announced $5.8 million in additional campaign ads to urge the Senate to do whatever it takes to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. The ads thank Senators Mark Kelly (AZ), Raphael Warnock (GA), Catherine Cortez Masto (NV), Maggie Hassan (NH), and Joe Manchin (WV) for leading on the recently introduced Freedom to Vote Act (S.2747).

The new $5.8 million ad launch is part of a joint $30 million campaign between ECU // LAV and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) to pass a once in a generation voting rights and anti-corruption bill.

The additional round of new ads kick off today in West Virginia with television ads that include testimonials from a veteran and a faith leader supporting Senator Joe Manchin’s leadership authoring and working to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. The ad with the faith leader in West Virginia features Pastor Paul Dunn from the First Baptist Church in Charleston at which Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in 1960. The ad campaign also includes a digital ad and direct mail.

The ads in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and New Hampshire, as well as a national digital ad, are set to kick off next week and will air on local broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms and on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, and connected TV in the states included in the buy.

“Voters in both parties believe we should protect the freedom to vote, end dark money, and stop partisan gerrymandering, so the people choose their politicians, not the other way around,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller. “We applaud these Senators for their important work in supporting the Freedom to Vote Act and urge them to finish the job and get it passed immediately. The Senate should do whatever it takes to get the job done.”
