End Citizens United//Let America Vote Martin Luther King Jr. Day Statement

Jan 18, 2021

End Citizens United//Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, honoring the civil and voting rights hero:

“During such a defining moment in our nation’s history, we must honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by continuing the fight to expand and protect every Americans’ right to vote and restoring faith in our democracy. Corrupt, seditious politicians have undermined the fabric of our democracy and threatened equality under law, at the ballot box and in representation in Congress. End Citizens United//Let America Vote calls on Congress to rectify these injustices by immediately passing the For the People Act, which includes the John Lewis Voter Empowerment Act as Title I, as well as passing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act. It’s on all of us to continue Dr. King’s vision of equal opportunity for all.”
