End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decision today, allowing businesses to discriminate against people who identify as LGBTQ+:
“On the last day of Pride Month, this extremist far-right Supreme Court gutted Colorado’s anti-discrimination law, swinging the door open for businesses to legally discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community. Today’s decision protects hate. Anti-LGBTQ+ Big Money has captured the Court, pushing their extremist agenda into law, stoking an unprecedented spike in homophobia and transphobia in our country.
“It’s time for lawmakers to take real action to reform the Court, so decisions aren’t made to appease radical mega donors and dark money groups. We need to protect our democracy and rebuild the trust of the American people.”
