End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement in honor of Labor Day:
“Over generations, the Labor movement has empowered the workers of this country and protected the health and well-being of them and their families. Today, the votes and voices of working families are under assault as corporate special interests and dark money groups are looking to further stack the deck in their favor.
“We will beat back those attacks with the power of the people. We will continue to organize and mobilize the grassroots to pass bills like the PRO Act, the For the People Act, and the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act that protect workers’ rights, civil rights, and voting rights and that limit the influence of big money in politics.
“On Labor Day, we stand in solidarity with our allies in this movement to ensure our democracy works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
