“The vote today to block the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe v. Wade, is more proof Senate Republicans and anti-choice politicians want to take us back in time and take away our right to privacy. They are out-of-step with the American people in trying to force an extremist system where doctors and people will be thrown in prison for making their own healthcare decisions.
“We urge the Senate to protect reproductive healthcare, make our system work for the people, and protect the freedom to choose and the freedom to make our voices heard. We will continue to hold Republicans accountable and replace them with Senators who will protect the rights of all Americans.”
