“The latest shooting in Texas is devastatingly sad. Like the recent mass shootings in Buffalo, as well as the daily gun violence across the country, this is entirely avoidable.
“A decade after Sandy Hook, and more than two decades after Columbine, there’s nothing left to say other than it is time to put the lives of kids ahead of the profits of the gun lobby. Members of Congress who stand in the way of gun safety legislation should be ashamed of themselves.
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their families tonight. We will continue to work to end the power of the gun lobby to prevent more of these heartbreaking shootings.”
