“Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on their history-making inauguration as President and Vice President of the United States. In this defining moment in our country’s history, President Biden and Vice President Harris’ leadership is critical to getting the pandemic under control, rebuilding America’s economy, strengthening our democracy and restoring the soul of our nation.
“Following the attacks on the integrity of the election and insurrection at the Capitol, it’s abundantly clear that we need to strengthen the foundational principles of our democracy and restore trust in government. President Biden and Vice President Harris can meet the demands of the moment by signing The For the People Act (S. 1, H.R. 1) into law, which will put an end to the dominance of big money in politics, bring dark money into the light, address many of the challenges voters faced in casting their ballots last year, and restore ethics and accountability to the executive branch.
