“Tonight, President Biden delivered a winning message and gave a sobering reminder that the future of our democracy hinges on this election. The contrast between the Biden-Harris Administration and Trump’s MAGA movement could not be more stark.
“While President Biden and Congressional Democrats are standing up to corporate price gouging and cracking down on greedflation and shrinkflation, MAGA Republicans are running interference for their corporate benefactors. While President Biden is defending our democracy, our rights and our freedoms, Donald Trump is running a campaign of revenge, retribution, and extremism that puts our lives at risk and undermines the fabric of our society. While President Biden has a record of accomplishing results for all Americans, Donald Trump and his MAGA extremists have a record of corruption, election denialism, and insurrection.
“Congress should heed President Biden’s call to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to safeguard our democracy and build a stronger, more representative government.
