End Citizens United (ECU) today announced that it is going on the air in New Hampshire and Nevada with seven-figure ad buys to support Maggie Hassan and Catherine Cortez Masto. ECU has endorsed Hassan and Cortez Masto, who are fighting to overturn Citizens United and end the flow of unlimited, undisclosed spending in our elections.
“Maggie Hassan and Catherine Cortez Masto have delivered results for their states and are committed to bringing an end to the corrupting influence of unlimited, undisclosed spending in our elections,” Tiffany Muller, End Citizens United Executive Director, said. “They’ll continue that work and bring reform to Washington, where Kelly Ayotte and Joe Heck have sided with the Koch Brothers and helped corporate special interests rig the system at the expense of working families.”
In New Hampshire, a $1.4 million statewide broadcast and cable buy will include Boston and Manchester. It will run from August 16 through August 29.
In Nevada, a $1.5 million statewide broadcast and cable buy will include Las Vegas and Reno. It will run from August 16 through September 2.
End Citizens United PAC was established in March 2015 to counter the disastrous effects of Citizens United and reform our campaign finance system. To date, more than 1.5 million grassroots members from every state and territory have taken action to support End Citizens United.
