End Citizens United//Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement after every House Democrat, for the second congressional session in a row, co-sponsored the For the People Act (H.R. 1/S. 1), a bold package of anti-corruption, voting, and ethics reforms:
“House Democrats are collectively prioritizing the swift passage of the For the People Act because the party is deeply committed to cleaning up corruption in Washington and protecting all Americans’ right to vote. In 2019, every House Democrat co-sponsored this historic reform bill and this year they are unified once again in their commitment to make H.R. 1 law. The For the People Act is vital to protecting American democracy for generations to come, and we applaud House Democrats’ efforts, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Administration Chairperson Zoe Lofgren, and Congressman John Sarbanes, to pass this critical bill.”
