Bill ends dark money, stops gerrymandering, and protects every Americans’ right to vote
End Citizens United / Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller issued the below statement offering a fact check in response to misinformation about the For the People Act (S. 1/H.R. 1):
“Nothing in the For the People Act addresses or threatens New Hampshire’s presidential primary schedule. Period. To suggest otherwise is just plain false.
“The bill does, however, end dark money, crack down on corruption in both parties, stop partisan gerrymandering, and protect every American’s right to vote. These popular, common sense ideas will make politicians more accountable and government more responsive, so we can make progress on important issues, like lowering health care and prescription drug costs and making the economy work for everyone.”
