End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement after ex-Senator David Perdue filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Monday to take the first steps towards launching a potential Senate run in 2022:
“David Perdue lost once already for being self-serving and putting himself first over Georgia. Miraculously, in just one term, David Perdue made his stock trading scandals his signature issue in the Senate and became a poster boy for the culture of corruption in Washington. Georgians elected Senator Raphael Warnock because he’s fighting to end the corrupt status quo in Congress by leading on critical reform legislation like the For the People Act (S.1). Senator Warnock already beat one corrupt incumbent. Perdue should be prepared for Georgians to reject him a second time around.”
