Heller has taken $110,000 from PACs of drug manufacturers and distributors being sued across the country for their role in the nation’s opioid epidemic
As the opioid epidemic continues to take its toll on Nevada families, Senator Dean Heller remains mum on the campaign contributions he’s taken from drug companies being sued for their roles in the crisis.
Over his career, Heller has taken $110,000 from 12 drug companies that have been sued by state and local governments across the country, including $56,000 from companies sued in Nevada.
“Senator Heller should be doing everything he can to remove the scourge of the opioid crisis in Nevada — not rubbing shoulders with the very companies perpetuating the problem,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller.
In December, Heller earned a spot on End Citizens United’s Big Money 20, a list of Washington’s worst politicians who rig the system in favor of their special interest donors.
