Last Tuesday, Senator Rick Scott, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee released the agenda that Senate Republicans want to pass if they elect candidates, like Herschel Walker, and retake the majority next year. It’s a radical agenda that will take money out of the pockets of hard-working Georgia families by raising taxes on more than 50% of Americans, while lining the pockets of big money special interests.
The plan that Herschel Walker’s party leaders want to enact is corporate lobbyists’ greatest fantasy–raising taxes on seniors, single mothers, and working class families, while allowing corporations to keep their $2 trillion corporate tax handout and continue to gouge prices to exacerbate inflation.
Other disastrous policies of the Senate GOP plan:

Cutting critical bipartisan infrastructure investments in American roads and bridges, and taking away good-paying Georgia jobs.

Disenfranchising military voters and banning accessible methods of voting like ballot drop boxes.

Stacking the deck even further in favor of corporations and their wealthy executives, who get to keep their tax handouts, and against Georgia workers, who will see their taxes and prices continue to rise.

Allowing members of Congress to continue to trade stock, which lets them exploit their positions of power for financial gain.

Not cutting the cost of prescription drugs, making it harder for Georgians to get affordable access to the treatment they need.
The stakes of re-electing Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock could not be more important. It’s the difference between having a Senator fighting to make a rigged system even worse by raising taxes on working families and retirees, or having a Senator like Reverend Raphael Warnock, who will spend every single day doing whatever he can to lower costs, combat corporate greed, and protect good paying jobs in Georgia.
