In a Blink of an Eye Corporations are Breaking Pledges, Donating to Seditious Lawmakers

Apr 15, 2021

End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller released the following statement after first quarter Federal Election Commission filings showed several corporations ending their pauses in PAC donations to lawmakers who voted to overturn the voters’ will in the 2020 election, helping to incite the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol:

“Too many corporations are breaking their pledges to pause PAC contributions to seditious Republicans in exchange for access and influence. The fact that it took them no time at all to turn back on a decision to pause their campaign contributions proves that they were after nothing more than public relations cover. History will remember their role in rewarding seditionists who helped incite a deadly assault on the U.S. Capitol.”

Corporations that have so far broken their pledge to freeze PAC contributions include Cigna, Prudential Financial, JetBlue and Raytheon.
