Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue Have a Habit of Going MIA on Georgians

Nov 16, 2020

While Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff have hit the ground running by talking to Georgians about issues impacting their lives, like health care and coronavirus relief, Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have so far spent the majority of their Georgia runoff campaigns in hiding.

It’s not the first time Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have gone MIA on Georgians. Both Senators neglected Georgia families by publicly downplaying the threat of the pandemic while personally seeking to profit from it. Following a private Senate briefing on the coronavirus in January, Loeffler and Perdue bought stocks, investing in companies that were expected to thrive during the pandemic.

“Now, more than ever, Georgians want to hear directly from their leaders about what they’re doing to protect their health care and provide economic relief amid a global pandemic,“ said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Loeffler and Perdue have done nothing but prove that past is precedent by refusing to show up for Georgians. Voters have questions and they’re not getting any answers because both Senators are hiding.”
