More Corporations Reverse Stance On Sedition, Move Forward With Campaign Contributions to GOP Election Objectors

May 24, 2021

Popular Information’s Judd Legum exposed a number of corporations ditching their pause on PAC donations to lawmakers who voted to overturn the election results, their leadership PACs, or to party committees led by seditious lawmakers. Ford Motor Company, in particular, donated directly to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a ring leader in promoting the Big Lie who also voted against the January 6 commission.

“In the face of undeniable facts and continued Republican opposition to telling the truth about the 2020 elections, these corporations are siding with profits and personal connections over democracy,” said End Citizens United and Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “Not only are they rewarding sedition, but they’re sowing distrust in our elections by legitimizing these seditionists. They may think that a months-long pause is enough to sweep the events of January 6 under the rug, but history will remember their complicity.”
