New Ad: Instead of Making a Difference, Nicole Mallio-Stock-Is Looked To Profit

Sep 18, 2020

End Citizens United (ECU) today launched a new ad campaign in NY-11 that exposes Nicole Malliotakis’ corrupt ties to the drug industry, highlighting her investment in an opioid manufacturing company that was fined for perpetuating the opioid crisis. In the State Assembly, Malliotakis could have held opioid manufacturers responsible for worsening the epidemic in New York and across the country, but did not.

Titled “Ticker,” the ad is part of a $650,000 buy and will air on broadcast, cable TV, and digital from September 18-October 5.

“Nicole Malliotakis has repeatedly sold out New Yorkers for personal gain,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “She supported giving big drug companies billions in tax breaks while the industry perpetuated the opioid crisis. It’s clear that Malliotakis is only interested in a payday, not fighting for New Yorkers’ interests. Congressman Max Rose, on the other hand, meant it when he told corporate PACs and federal lobbyists to ‘keep their damn money,’ and led efforts to pass the most sweeping anti-corruption bill since Watergate. Nicole Malliotakis is nothing but a fraud.”
