Targets Republican incumbents in CA-45, NJ-03, NY-11, TX-32 and VA-07
End Citizens United today announced its latest ad buy. It will spend nearly $2.5 million in five top House races. The breakdown of the ad buy is as followed:
- CA-45: $400,000 on digital and direct mail
- NJ-03: $658,000 on TV, radio, digital and direct mail
- NY-11: $200,000 on mail
- TX-32: $520,000 on TV, digital and direct mail
- VA-07: $712,000 on TV, digital and direct mail
In both TV ads released today in Virginia and New Jersey, ECU highlights the connection between the campaign contributions the Republican incumbents took from special interests and their votes on behalf of those industries that came at the expense of American families.
Polling shows that two out of three voters believe the amount of money in politics affects kitchen table issues, such as rising prescription drug cost and health insurance.
Unlike dark money groups, ECU is entirely transparent and every penny is disclosed with the Federal Election Commission. Unlike Super PACs, ECU adheres to contribution limits and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average contribution of $14.
