NY-19: End Citizens United and Let America Vote Stand with Rep. Antonio Delgado Heading into the General Election

Jun 24, 2020

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on news that Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) is advancing to the general election:

“Since he first got elected, Congressman Antonio Delgado has worked to unrig the broken system in Washington. Antonio won this battleground district in 2018 by rejecting corporate PAC money and proving to New Yorkers that he’d be accountable to them. In Congress, he followed through on that promise by voting to make prescription drugs more affordable and helping to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation anti-corruption, voting rights and reform bill. Antonio is building a grassroots campaign powered by small donors that’s bringing change to Washington. We look forward to re-electing Congressman Delgado so that he can continue the incredible work he’s started.”

ECU endorsed Delgado’s re-election campaign in March 2019 as part of the group’s first round of House incumbent endorsements. Delgado, who ran on a platform of reform in 2018, rejects corporate PAC money and showed leadership in the passage of the For the People Act (H.R.1). The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 14,400 in NY-19, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
