End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement in response to a false and baseless attack on Representative Chris Pappas’ (NH-01) no corporate PAC pledge:
“Washington Republicans are peddling lies because they are desperate to protect the status quo. They depend on a system where corporate special interests fund their campaigns and call the shots.
“Chris Pappas is leading the fight to unrig that system. He doesn’t take corporate PAC money and relies on the support of small donors. He helped pass the biggest anti-corruption bill in generations that cracks down on corruption in both parties and is standing up to special interests, like the drug companies who fight to keep prescription drug prices high. End Citizens United is proud to stand with Chris Pappas.”
