Rodney Davis’ Silence on ComEd/Exelon Corporate PAC Money Is Deafening

Oct 13, 2020

Davis has taken $3.5 million from corporate PACs, including $64,000 from Exelon, ComEd’s parent company

As the election for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District quickly approaches, Illinois voters are still waiting to hear an answer from Congressman Rodney Davis explaining the $64,000 he received from ComEd/Exelon’s corporate PAC, CEO, and executives.

In last week’s debate, Betsy Dirsken Londrigan, who rejects corporate PAC money, took the opportunity to question Congressman Davis about his ties to the corrupt energy giant, which he continued to dodge and defend. Instead of coming clean about his relationship with ComEd/Exelon, Congressman Davis resorted to lying to voters about Dirksen Londrigan in an effort to cover up his corrupt scheme with the utility giant.

“Rodney Davis’ silence on his connections to the corrupt energy giant sends a message loud and clear to voters: Davis can’t fight for Illinois families from the inside of ComEd/Exelon’s pockets,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “He and his Washington allies are putting money behind dishonest ads to distract from the fact that he is the only candidate in the race who has taken money from the corrupt utility giant – and they’re hoping no one calls him out. What is Rodney Davis hiding from Illinois voters, and why won’t he come clean?”

Illinois voters deserve to know the full extent of Congressman Rodney Davis’ relationship with ComEd/Exelon and the corporate PAC money he’s cashed from the corrupt energy giant.
