Heller’s Bill Would Take Away Consumer Rights to File Class-Action Lawsuits
Over the Course of His Career, Heller Received Over $20,000 from Equifax’s Lobbying Firm
Tiffany Muller, president of End Citizens United, released the following statement on Senator Heller’s controversial bill to block an arbitration rule that would strip consumers’ rights to file class-action lawsuits. The legislation, which Equifax lobbied for, would’ve forbidden Americans who signed up for Equifax’s credit monitoring service from taking class-action against the company following the breach this summer. The Senate is expected to vote on the bill tonight.
