End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller released the following statement regarding the news that Senator Ron Johnson attempted to submit a false slate of electors to then-Vice President Pence on January 6:
“Senator Ron Johnson was an active part of the criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including just minutes before the Capitol was breached on January 6. As new evidence from the January 6 Committee revealed today, Senator Johnson attempted to hand then-Vice President Pence a slate of fake electors from Wisconsin and Michigan in order to silence the will of the people, despite knowing that Trump lost the election. Senator Johnson’s self-serving effort to break the law and go against the U.S. Constitution makes him unfit to serve as Senator.
“That’s why we need to elect Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, who will always protect the freedom to vote, listen to the will of the people, and make certain the people of Wisconsin can have their voices heard and votes counted on the issues that matter most to them.”
