End Citizens United PAC released the following statement in response to Senate Majority Leader McConnell’s campaign finance rider being excluded from the omnibus spending bill:
“Creating this campaign finance loophole would only increase the power that the richest Americans – not everyday Americans – have over our elections,” said Reed Adamson, Senior Advisor at End Citizens United. “Excluding the controversial rider is a big victory for everyone that opposes handing the wealthiest and most well-connected even more power over Congress.”
On Thursday, End Citizens United turned over more than 110,000 petition signatures from supporters in every state to Majority Leader McConnell, calling on him to drop the harmful rider that would allow political parties to spend unlimited money in coordination with candidates for Congress.
